Ratings and Reviews

I played Oakbrook Golf Course, and the course is in great shape. The course layout is good, particularly the back nine with some very difficult holes including 23 and 18. The course has a good deal of water and some holes are wide open and others are tight. The Greens are quick, and the pace of play was 4 hours for 18 holes. The back nine is very difficult and the food is good in the restaurant.

ABOUT OAK BROOK GOLF

& GET OVER TO THE GOLF COURSE

Located in the heart of the Western Suburbs of Chicago, Oak Brook Golf Club is a semi-private facility open to the public, open late March through early December. Oak Brook Golf Club offers annual golf and driving range memberships and hosts a vast array of charitable outings, corporate, and junior tournaments each year.
Opened in 1982, Oak Brook Golf Club, was designed by Roger Packard and Dennis Wise. Oak Brook Golf Club par is a 72-parkland style that maxes out at 6,541 yards and has four sets of tees to choose from. The course offers a private country club feel that’s both challenging and fun for all levels of players. The course boasts a nice variety of holes, water features, well-manicured bunkers, and smooth, undulating greens. Oak Brook Golf Club has a nice finishing stretch, which includes the difficult 214-yard, par-3 17th, which also plays over water.

Oak Brook GC also has an expansive grass tee driving range, chipping green, putting green, and a practice bunker. The driving range features two separate opportunities for our golf enthusiasts. On the south end of the driving range, we offer an expansive grass tee hitting area, along with a chipping green and practice bunker, all open to the public. On the north end, we consider this the premier range experience offering a private range membership, expansive grass tees, chipping green, practice bunker, and world-class private instruction.
In the summer of 1987, due to major flooding in the Chicago area and bordering Butler National Golf Club, Oak Brook Golf Club’s back 9 played host to the PGA Tour’s Beatrice Western Open, eventually won by D.A. Weibring by 1 shot over Greg Norman and Larry Nelson. In 1991, Oak Brook GC also played host to the LPGA Tour’s Chicago Sun-Times Shoot-out, won by Martha Nause.
Oak Brook GC has a golf shop stocked with the latest in apparel, golf balls, gloves, and accessories. The clubhouse offers a full-service bar and restaurant, an indoor dining area, as well as spacious patio overlooking the 9th hole for daily dining and refreshments. The location of the golf course is conveniently located within minutes of an incredible variety of world-class hotels, restaurants, and shopping here in The Village of Oak Brook.
